Cumbrian breeder Sean Mitchell secured the Supreme Breed Championship title with his in calf heifer, Hutton Thea. Having also claimed the Female Championship rosette, this powerful heifer is sired by Hutton Oli and is bred out of a home-bred cow Pam.
Standing in Reserve Supreme Championship position was Hallfield Plato from Thor Atkinson, who also won the Male Championship prize. Plato, a Broccagh Kingfisher son was born in November 2019 is out of Hallfield Mia.
Also, from team Atkinson came Reserve Female Champion and Reserve Junior Champion. The reserve female was Brownhill Netta, a multiple showring winner and brood cow within the herd, is a daughter of Hallfield Homer and bred from Brownhill J.O.
The homebred Reserve Junior Champion also came from the Newland stable, Newland Ulana. She is a daughter of the noted Hallfield Plato sire and out of an Ogre daughter Palmbay.
The Junior Champion of the classes was presented to George and Charlotte Raper with their homebred winning maiden heifer entry, Lowhill Unmissable. Her breeding carries Hilltop Nicholson and out of Katem Peachy.
Receiving the award of Reserve Male Champion was the yearling entry from Lucy Corner with Lucyland Untidy. He is a son of Ballygowan Rodeo and is out of the homebred cow, Nelly.
In the group classes, Melissa Donaldson won the Group of 3 class with her entries from the Donaldson herd, whilst the Lucyland pairing from Lucy Corner received the 1st prize rosette in the Pairs class.
