Newlands Tanza adds another Championship to her belt at the Three Counties Show 2025

There was certainly no bad luck had on Friday the 13th at The Three Counties Show 2025 for the Atkinson family and their Newland herd of Pedigree British Blondes, Ulverston, Cumbria. This wasn’t Newland Tanza’s first rodeo in the show ring as she added another Championship to her belt, winning Overall British Blonde Champion and Champion Beef Cow & Calf at the Three Counties, English National British Blonde Show 2025.
Taking on the task of Judging the superior selection of cattle which were put on show was Mr Geoffrey Rodgers from the Hillhead herd, Dromore, County Down. Geoffrey’s renowned experience within the British Blonde industry was very evident throughout his placings.
His champion Newland Tanza a 2022 Brownhill Netta Daughter, who was oozing with style and power, from Thor Atkinson started off winning the Junior Cow class then went on to win Senior Female Champion, Female Champion and finally the top spot of Breed Champion along with Champion Beef Cow & Calf the following day against a lot of strong Native and Continental competition.
Geoffrey’s Reserve choice was found in a strong Senior Heifer class with Silverwood Ula, owned by Ben Richardson, Warmingham Herd, Cheshire and bred by Mr N Mcknight, Silverwood Herd, Newry, County Down. Ula a sculpted, classy 2023 born Heifer by Ardmore Gargoyle followed Tanza all the way to the top with reserve in the Senior Female, Reserve Overall Female and was finally picked to the post again in the Championship gaining Reserve Overall British Blonde.
