Brownhill Noel takes top price in the Blonde Spring Daffodil sale

The Supreme Champion sold for the top price of 3200gns in the British Blondes Cattle Society Sale at Carlisle.

This was lot 114 TM & J Hope's Brownhill Noel, born April 2017 sired by Hallfield Homer & out of Brownhill Etta selling to E & SM Noble from Beckermet, Cumbria.

The Reserve Champion Hilltop Nelson from AJ Stott sold for 2800gns sired by Hallfield Jody born May ‘17 out of Hilltop Jackie selling to PJ & ES Rogerson from Appleby in Westmoreland, Cumbria. Andrew Stott picked up the Walker Special Trophy presented by the Blonde Society for the best entry from a breeder with less than ten breeding cows and also the Isabelle Mason memorial perpetual trophy which is presented to the stockman for the best turned out animal which was judged by Stuart Mycock from Buxton, Derbyshire who runs the Whitepeak herd.

At the same money of 2800gns was another from Messrs Hope, Brownhill Nevil again sired by Hallfield Homer out of Brownhill Ella born June ’17 which saw the hammer fall to Whiteford & Co from Anstruther, Fife.

The society would like to thank Joanne Crozier from Brampton, Cumbria for judging the Blonde classes.

A collection was made for the Daffodil appeal in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer trust which totalled £120.78 Thanks go to Carol Stott for her help with this collection.
